Phantom Flasher...
Thats a shame there's a fix... Any site that uses chromeless or full screen isn't worth the download... I mean why bother? Are they that unprofessional that they have to use flashy gimicks to confuse the novice user?
Kids: Say NO to chromeless!

microbians doesnt even use chromless, they have a regular popup

Actually microbians does typically use their chromeless script. The current quick fix simply allows for standard window use with a simple js swap.
I personally enjoy using the chromeless browser on my personal site, which is a site that I maintain for fun with no business focus.
I typically troll the sitecheck when ever I see a commercial chromeless site in there I usually stress how inappropriate that usage is and that it can be confusing to the standard "user".

I think the wee chromeless window has its place like everything else...
or are you chaps going for a chromeless 99% BAD type of commentary?

I say down with chromeless too...for a start they only bloody work on IE PC.
The internet is MULTI-PLATFORM if you hadn't noticed...

An Inconvenient Serving Size
I swear, I think XP killed a script of mine which I used to set cookies in Flash, as the script works on my older machine ('98). Bugger.
As for chromeless, I don't see the problem for fun sites, but commercial? Not in this lifetime.

Isn't there some IE for Mac? And for Unix (not Linux)?
But I hate chromeless windows, anyhow.

Yeah there is, but it's crippled (what a suprise!) Though funnliy enough it sticks better to the DOM model than PC IE...
-
Hmmm.... I will stick with my Mozilla, thank you very much.

I've got Chimera set as my default browser and have done for about the last 5 months.
It absolutely rocks.
