When I had teeth removed, they just injected novacane into my gums, and they gave me nothing when I had the build up put on my one tooth (had my mouth open for a good 45 mins straight). So no, haven't taken anything.

well the old root canal is essentially a dead tooth with no sensation. So that shouldn't be to bad.

I just had a root canal, just got novacane. it was done by a root canal specialists so it was fairly quick.

come on lannie no drugs, i mean it shouldn't be anything to a texan

Well, apparently ~ when they did the old root canal to begin with - they didn't pull out all of the nerve and didn't 'pack it' properly, so I have trouble with it from time to time ... I think it's still a dead tooth, though - right?

Novacaine usually will do it for me - they have to give me *alot* of it, though ... And with having already had a root canal pain isn't really the issue here <hikes up pants and spits like a tough guy>

I'm having some other work done while Im there - I'm slotted for a 4-5 hour appt. ~ Dentist told me taking Ativan, etc - I woulnd't remember a thing ... wondering if it's worth it to take it ... beginning to think it's not ... Beginning to think I'll just stay up all night the night before and then sleep my way through it

i think the tooth will still be dead. but if nerve tissue is there, well you will fill pain when they start playing around.

when I had my tooth with the root canal capped i felt nothing. when the tooth without a root canal was capped it was a little more entertaining.

they have a place around me that does "sedation dentistry" personally I like to be awake so i can try and say "why do you need a torch?"
