    Calling all MXers - bitmaps in distress

    I have a project that resembles a movie trailer. For the background image I have a jpg file (tried gif as well). When vectors pass over the background will bulge and distort around them. Why is this? How might it be fixed (aside from dropping my monitor from a window).

    change something to 99.
    for example, _xscale, _yscale, _alpha.

    or put a square (assuming your image is square), the same size as your image on a layer above it and set the colour to alpha = 0;

    yeah, a well known little bug that has been around for several versions of flash. one of those things you think they would have fixed in mx.
