You may be interested in http://www.jacobscreek.com.au as some inspiration. The animation quality in this site is awesome.

Isn't that jacobs site the one where they paid billions to do the site? (at least billions to us designers) It might be another one I'm thinking about...
Of course I'm the man for the job! What is the job, by the way?

I don't know what the JC people coughed up (cash-wise), but that's a damn fine piece of animation, if I do say so. 'marked.
I know that Odddog knows this, but just in case you noobies wanna go and get buzzed up with your custmers - do not. Repeat. Do not. Very unprofessional, very unsleek - it can cause big problems down the road whe they reject your demo. (What? I thought you were my (boozey) buddy)? etc.
Don't set yourself up.

as a retired merchant banker i have to say that getting boozed up with a client or potential client is an excellant way to go ...
only if you can handle you booze though.
sadly since i left the world of banking and became a daddy well, my tolerance leaves have chaged, so today i will not be doing this. will post on the outcome. In reality I pretty much now what the outcome will be, I will start by doing a proposal for them. But first to visit that wine celler of theres !!!

Yes, it is a bit dated, but the quality of the animation is great. It was done with Flash 4... I remember looking at it when it was first out in 99 or so.
Not sure what they paid for it but it would have been big biccies. I'd say it paid for itself many times over with the exposure it got.
Not as good as McGuigans, if you want a great Aussie wine.

tell me, is this sellable.....
ok here is a brief report of the meeting yesterday.
first of the guy turned up 2 hours late. That I really hate. But its ok I will bill him for my time !
This family has been making wine for 170 years. In the last 5 years have heavely invested in new pretty much everything except marketing. And now thats were they have there attencion. Due in part to an export drive to the USA and the UK.
I have to due a complete proposal to them ASAP. They have money, and just wont someone to take care of this problem for them. Any ideas greatly appreciated.
i think the list should start with a web site, catalogo, logo, corp style guide, promo cd.
any other ideas !!

Do you get to design bottle labels, packaging and point-of-sale promotional items too? Or is this 'just' aimed at the internet side?
I could come up with masses of ideas for the website, if they are happy to part with the cash
(personally, I would remove the name of the client from your original post, to protect your and their privacy, seeing as you haven't won the contract yet...)
good luck with the proposal!
