*tugs at the edge of tarp and pulls off cloth unvaling the mystic thing beneath*
That got your attention.
Okay, I just finished writing a fairly advanced content system. I want everyone to try it out.
http://www.webplicity.net <-- Here's the "demo" site I'm using.
You'll notice at the bottom of every page is an "administer" link with gray text indicating the page number. Click "administer" to enter the administrative mode.
Username: Administrator
Password: letmein
Feel free to edit what is there, add new links to new "articles", etc...you are free to upload your images as well.
You have full creative liberty. (Just don't put anything obscene.)
You may view the Application Settings but DO NOT make any changes.
The administration pages will only work right with IE 5, but the client side works well with both IE and Netscape...I'm still working on correcting issues with Opera.
This is NOT a hacking contest. I'm fully aware of the many opportunities to exploit this software. Please don't be a jerk...use it as an administrator would.
Any feed back would be wonderful. Tell me what should be added, tell me what you would want changed for you to use it, etc...
Also...would this be something you would pay for?
Answering any of these questions will be lots of help.
Cheers,
Clif

I designed it for use with my client's site...it allows me to have a nice design, while still editable by novices.
Did you make any changes or explore the administrative part? I've feeling most of these "no, it sucks votes" are just there because I give 'em the option.

isn't this the example from asp.net?
not voted... yet.
edit:
you might want to change your workflow a bit. where you change where that last button says click here to confirm what not... I'd add that to a dialog onClick instead... would alleviate any issues of people putting up incomplete edits/articles/stuff by accident.
also, not sure if it's intentional, minor thing... the fonts are not the same throughout the site. I was treated to a mix of Times and Arial/Helvetica...
and also, I got a weird error, one time, on the ? button... oh, change that button, too. it's rather rough.
it does seem to load slowly on some pages - especially on the previews.
No real issues, but I have yet to look at how you're handling sessions, and what not...
good start. but for now, I'm saying no.

No! This is 100% totally coded by me. I didn't use anyone's code.
But thanks for the compliment!

Link 4 and 5 link to "articles.aspx?id=4" and 5 respectively.
If you add a page, other's will be able to see it with the top links.
I added a link for MX Kid's page to the home page. (id=1)

I think an administrator would want to know if he has a secure site...

LOL...that's a remnant from the site I originally crafted this for...I moved everything over and modularized it today.
It is secure...as long as the hacker doesn't have the username and password. Once inside the administrative side, you could really reak havic as I haven't made my SQL code parameterized yet.
