56k Modem - Voice Over Quality?

    Forgive me ignorance,
I'm putting together a product viability report for a client who wants to produce a flash website where the average 56k modem home user can talk directly with a telephone sales advisor via a microphone, maybe with a webcam link as well. I know that this kind of two way connectivity is possible using comm server mx, but will it work, on 56k connections, to an acceptable level of conversation quality?

Any pitfalls or danger areas I should be aware of. I really want to invest some time in this product but I need to be sure that I'm not selling them a donkey.

    Any thoughts/ comments appreciated cheers!

    Hey -
It is acceptable! I don't know if video and audio at the same time will work too well, but audio should be fine. You'll want to lower the rate for the mic to about 8khz, but the quality is still pretty good. Also make sure that both ends have the latest flash player, 6,0,65,0. There have been a ton of improvements in this version of the player, directly related to the audio quality.
