    Loading movie

Has anyone tried using Scripting to run a loading movie?

If you have, post the script here. Since the loading movie feature is not yet installed in v4 it would be great for all to know how via scripting.

I'm sure it could be done that way.

Seems to me you could just do it as scene 1 and keep looping on scene one untill the bytesloaded is totalbytes.

How would that work because doesn't the movie need to load before you show the first scene?

    yeah yeah yeah

    Oh shut up.

All your oh ah fancy internet connection while i'm sitting at home in front of my computer waiting for CompuServe to connect. Anyway, I tried your loading movie and it sort of worked. I tried it twice, but it didn't work the first time. It seemed to work fine the second time but I don't really know what the movie is supposed to do. I also e-mailed 3dfa asking them...no wait... begging them to add the loading movie function and they havn't gotten back to me yet.

    Idea for loading test

It will most likely take me quite some time to try this as I'am working on finals right now. But using 3dflash animator you could make huge movie containing 2 or 3 scenes. Place a little text in the first scene(s) and then place several mbs of junk in the last scene. Stop the movie before the last scene, upload the file. If the little bit of text takes forever to show up then things are not streamlined.

    Ahh

so much for that I tried it real quick and it does not seem to work.
Text wont pop up till everything loads. I guess the you need to use the load movie thing in scripting. This kinda seems like scenes are just organztional tools for when you have allot of actions. I hope I'am wrong about this.
