Finding game and animation sounds?

I always have this problem, finding the right sound for different parts in games and animations. How does everyone else find their sounds. What do i type when i know the sound im looking for.Serach Google search criteria (Blam Blam Kaapow). I Need to find so many sounds but i dont know the best place to look ? And how to look for them. Im sure heaps of people have this problem.

Well, I'm assuming you've already checked out all the great sounds that flashkit.com itself offers in their sound FX section..

Other than that, I have found some good stuff at

They also have really good music loops.

I have the same problem though. It's always hard to find just the right sound. I guess the best thing you could do is just record some sounds yourself if it is something super specific.

Yah, if you search google for the sound you want and normally with the sound extention (.wav .mp3) then you'll get great results . (thats how i found my bill clinton quotes)

Thanks guys. Yeah im just trying to get together a sound directory so that when i need a sound i can justcheck that when i need them. The only prob is finding sounds that are good. Thanks again for the links

we should all make sound directories so that when ever we need a sound we can just come on here and ask for it.
