    Can swish 3 do this?

I've been using Swish2 for years, but I need to step it up.

A client wants a site with video streaming and flash advertising. I need a swf file that I can embed several videos back to back, and add pause/stop functions.

    This is the perfect example
    http://www.ltvnews.com/

It plays immediately and loads while playing.

Can this be done with Swish 3 or do I need flash 7?

(Please answer as honestly and clearly as possible... I'm likely to buy Swish 3 later this year anyway. Swish 2 is amazing.)

    Hi Off Top,

You could actually do this with Swish 2. The videos that you want to use.... you would need to convert them to swf format using something like Turbine Video Encoder (free) or a commercial thrid party software.

When you have the converted videos converted to swf format..... then just place a sprite in your main movie called, say, "container" and then "loadMovie" NOT IMPORT your converted video swfs into the sprite.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks jwr,

With the method you described, will the video play immediately or will it need to load first?

Also, could I get small commercials and the encoded video in the same swf to play back to back, in 2 scenes for example?

I believe that the swf video would be what is called streaming and would download enough to begin playing while the rest downloads. TVE web site has some extensive docummentation to explain this.

You can chain movies together and tell it what to do when the movie is finished. TVE web site also has docummentation on this as well.

    All the best.
