    [alpha] teachable chatterbot

    My first thread I believe..

I found a really cool chatterbot by Mat Peck
and decided to give a try at remaking it. I think
mine is even smarter though :P

The bot isn't very smart. At first he doesn't
know a single word - you have to teach him - in
    any language.

Alright, I wasn't able to figure that out,

Your chatterbot is cool but your not really teaching it, It is just remembering what you say and then saying it randomly. Good job though.

Thanks Yeah, but you have to learn it at least 50 words before he replies anything remotly smart. I've taught mine 400 words so far. And he's actually kind of smart.

It's obvious - _you_ are the one that builds his network of words. If the network is small he is likely to repeat himself.

Why don't you make it have a collective database like the one that was posted here a short while ago. You could sorta have conversations with it.

Thanks for the tips. The tought has crossed my mind... I'll try to do that soon (It's using sharedObjects now)

No more comments? I think he's brilliant! But you have to invest some time in him.

Note: Type "/list" to get a list of available commands...
