    Opening pdf file from button

    Hi all,
Wet miserable day here in south of UK. Getting the usual spring damping like every year.

    Anyway, heres my question.
I have a button on a page which when clicked will open a map.pdf file in Acrobat of a map which viewers can then open or save and then print for directions.

I tried using the 'Action' get URL http://www.trianglesprays.co.uk/map.pdf
(the map.pdf is uploaded into website directory)
but I get a message saying Microsoft cannot open or save this page.
Have I missed something in the set-up here?

Look forward to your continued expertise and always helpful advise.
    Koolsteve.

Note: I have taken the button off the page while this problem is resolved.

    It works from this link??

Strange, just clicked the website address above in first posting above and the map opens. When I type the url into my browser at top, it doesn't work, likewise when I put url action to button on page as stated. "Microsoft not able to download file from www.trianglesprays.co.uk/map.pdf" is the message.
    Maybe a clue here??

    Regards, Koolsteve.

Sorry Koolsteve, I'm clueless, but I did get a different error message after typing it in to IE browser. I get a download warning (..."possible malicious code" and "File Type: Adobe Acrobat Control for ActiveX....) and download choices Open, Save, Cancel and More Info. The download fails after clicking on Open or Save (... site is either unavailable or cannot be found....). Good Luck

    Thanks Peter

Thanks for looking Peter. Have had a chat with a guy in our IT dept. who says it's most likely the SP not allowing downloads. Will get in touch with them.
    Regards,
    Koolsteve.
