[Official Thread] Pixel Art "Comp 1" Voting...

Ok, so to vote, you pick your favourite 3 ships, place them 1st, 2nd, and 3rd...(Remember its 5 points for a first place vote, 3 for a 2nd place, and 1 point for a third place vote)...
Voting begins from now, and finishes at midnight, GMT, on August 17th...The winner will be announced August 18th...Good Luck people...!

Oh, and please when posting your vote...Give a reason for why you choose a ship to go 1st, 2nd or 3rd...It can be something as simple as you like the look, or the colours, or the style! However, don't comment on other people's reasons for votes, (keep your opinions to yourself, or start a new thread...Keep this one for the actual voting!)

It goes without saying, you can only vote once...

Remember, the winner gets the honour of proudly displaying this as an avatar on the boards, (if they like!)...

Anyway...
My votes...
1st place = Slight, "Devourer Class Heavy Fighter". I love the alien look of this one. As near perfect as you can get in my opinion.
2nd place = Santuria, "Low Flight Heavy Class Bombadier: LFHCB Land Destructor". I really like the shading and lines of this ship...Excellent stuff!
3rd place = Tonypa, "Plasma 3". I think this would look excellent in any pixel art based space shoot em up.

Wow! All really great entries = hard to choose a top three.

3rd goes to:

Tonypa's Torpedo 2.

For a simple, clean and in my opinion original ship. I love the retro vibe I get from it.

2nd place is awarded to:

PRadvan's Heavy Assault Fighter.

I like all PRadvan's ships, but loved this one cause it reminded me of the ship design from Aliens. Gives the feeling of a very gritty mechanical machine.

And 1st place (drum roll.....):

Slight's Devourer Class Heavy Fighter.

I adore the shading on this ship, and slights style creates really amazing alien ships. They will make perfect boss and enemy sprites.

Very hard choice.

3rd place - McLelun
Really simple, but yet i cant see anything that could be added. Nice style too, looks like a toy

2nd place - Nick Das "Chenoa IV"
Very pro looking, great shading, and i love the electricity.

1st place - Slight "Devourer Class Heavy Fighter"
No competition here. This is simply perfect. Soo detailed and the shading is awsome.

Great work all. The decision was very difficult. There were at least 2 other ships which i almost put as 2nd and 3rd. TheHumanChimp should be most proud though, a lot of work obviously went into that. I would have voted for you, but i think that you might have just done a bit too much shading. Very nice though

Why does everyone type my name with a capital "C"?.. I have my name everywhere like "Ironclaw", on my site, forum, letters.. everywhere. but still, when someone send me a message, chats with me - whatever, they always type "IronClaw". very few people type it right.. oh well..

2nd Mclelun - NoName Toy SpaceShip - it is my only entry, i must support it myself
3rd PRadvan - Missile Frigate - very oldskool look, remind me of old computer games.

I choosed the Chenoa IV and the Red Fighter beause of their colors that are incredible and the Alka Gavel beacause of its overall looking

1. McLelun's unnamed - clean and simple, great design, good depth, interesting method.
2. Dominicaninja's "Ion Phalanx" - again for design and depth.
2. Nic Das' "Chenoa V" - beautiful shading, interesting design.

Hard to pick only 3, there's a lot of good ships up there.

1) "Red Fighter" - Just looks brilliant.
2) "Crimson Mercury SE-C" - kinda cartoony and sweet

3) "Multipurpose Utili-Pod" - really like the shading

They're all great though. I so meant to get my thumb out of my arse and submit one, but laziness prevailed...

If I wanted to use any of these in a game would it be the usual non-commercial credited thing or is there anything else?

me: Ion Phalanx: I think my idea came out just as how I originally thought it, and I like the way the colors worked out.

2nd place:
slight: Ship A: Very nicely detailed and reminds me of a creature from the Metroid universe.

My jaw literally dropped when I saw this and I am still amazed at the attention to detail. Once again I thank slight for sharing some of his pixel drawing methods with us.

Great job everyone I'm impressed at the amount of different ships y'all were able to come up with. If I had a 4th pick it would be Nick Das' Chenoa IV, really love that one too.
