    flash 8 filters

quick question... so by the looks of it you need to add the filter with action script and then view it after swf render? no effect adding like in after effects or motion?

    thanks

you can add filters by Actionscript or to some instances on stage with the new Filter panel.

Flash 8 Professional contains all the new features you have been hearing about including the Filters panel.

    o really?

so that means ppl cannot add filters by the filter panel to their animation if they are using Basic? or i should say there is no Filter panel in the Basic version right?

Yes, no Filters Panel in basic. There is also no Project Panel and the Video Importer Wizard is scaled down, ie.. basic doesnt include the new Video component. There is also no blend modes etc... etc..
