Is there any support for importing photoshop?

Has anyone come across this? I was sure it would be in the next version as it something that's been lacking for ever!

I use psd2fla to bring photoshop into flash - which does the job but isn't perfect and now flash is getting layer blending modes the obvious thing is to have the ability to transfer them across to flash, no?

They probably want you to use Fireworks instead It imports pretty seemlessly, including the new blend modes

i don't think you can save filter settings even in ps cs2 can you? anyway - didnt adobe just buy mm? all they need to do is put a save as fla in cs2 and everybody's happy!

    This is strange.
I just looked at a lynda cs2 to flash 8 training vid. On that the guy imports a .psd straight onto the stage. I get an error message when I do the same using cs and flash mx or flash 8. I am sure that when the import via quicktime pop up was selected the psd would import as a single layer.
    Could anyone explain this. Please
    Thanks

well, with the next versions of flash, i would say this should no longer be a problem, seeing how adode bought out macromedia.

you can import .PSD file straight into Flash 8, I have both programs and haven't had any problems doing it, except for that your .swf file size tends to increase compared to using file formats which compress the image more.
