.swf help please!!
I've been playing around with KoolMoves and I've been having loads of fun. I made an intro page for my family website, but I'd like to be able to add a .swf file within the original .swf file.
What I'm trying to do is add 2 .swf files in the original .swf file. Both have 5 pictures. When I view the original .swf file with the 2 additions they don't stay where I put them in the original file. They merge in the middle of the file.
I made 2 separate .swf files...ss1.swf and ss2.swf then added those files to the original .swf file as OBJECTS, moved them to where I wanted them, but they still move to the middle of the frame.
I hope I gave enough information for someone to help. How do I get them to stay where I want them? Is it even possible? I've looked through the help files and can't seem to figure out what I'm doing wrong.
Thanks for any help.

Are the swf objects in the same position in all frames? Page Down will move you through all the frames. Did you apply any effects to the swf objects?

Hi,
Thanks for your reply. I tried to make sure that the objects were in the same positions in all frames, at least I hope I did. But, the cursor positions aren't the same in all the files. How do I make sure that the positions are the same?
The only effect I applied to both objects were fade in/out. I applied different effects to the text that I have in the file. At the bottom of the page I put a button to enter the site.
Your help is greatly appreciated.

Kathleen

I strongly suspect that the position is not the same in all frames.
Select a swf object. Change selection scope to all frames. Select Transforms > Numeric and set the position and I believe there is an absolute check box which should be checked.

Wiltsey: I know very little about koolmoves, so this probably won't help. But I had a similar experience where my pictures would merge in the middle. My problem was in the movie size - once I enlarged it the pictures were no longer forced towards the center. Hope this helps!

Hi,
Sorry I haven't been back. Thank you for your responses. I'm still having trouble and it's driving me nuts. If you could possibly walk me through it step by step, it would be appreciated. I haven't a clue what numbers to put in to set the position of each .swf movie.
Thanks,
Kathleen

I suggest you start over. Delete the imported swfs in all frames. Import again and say you want to copy to all frames.
