Thread: KoolMoves preloader idea - does it work?

    You guys may all already know how to do this, but I just figured out how to do an effective preloader using KM's built-in preload function plus the load movie function. See if this simple version of it works for you and, if it does, I'll tell you how I did it.

    Its hard to tell for sure but I think it worked. My connection is to fast and the whole thing seemed to load almost instantly.

    Yeah, the main movie is the Remnant thing I've been working on and it's only about 197k, so it loads pretty fast on my dsl connection too. What you should see is the word "loading..." fading in and out until the movie is 100% loaded, then it skips to the words "movie loaded(new line) play." Of course, on a fast enough connection you may not see the "loading..." part at all. I see it for just a second or two on mine.

    The next version, hopefully ready by tomorrow, will allow you to select a preloader movie. All the connecting frame actions will be done by KoolMoves.
