    Image degradation - Any ideas?

Is there any way to fix this problem?

Look at the site I'm working on http://www.ferriswheelpictures.com

Notice the image degradation of the ferris wheel as it grows in. Then when it's finished loading it's horrible. As a fix, for now, I added a copy of a static image to the frame right after the final motion. You can tell by the quality change.

Is there a way to fix the degradation or is it a cost of doing the animation? I tried different file formats as well but it has to be png or gif because I need to keep the transparency.

Are you using the "Initial grow" function in KM or are you doing it manually with tweens? Whichever method you are using, try the other to see if there is a difference in quality.

I am using the Initial Grow function. I'll try the other method and get back to the board.

I tried the other method and it still causes a problem.

I finally settled on tricking the viewer. I added as fade in at the same time as the initial grow effect and that seemed to minimize the ability to notice it as much.

Since you are using flash 8 features, how are you making sure that the end user has flash 8? I used system.capabilities.version to check before proceeding in the video player that required 7, and in the new gallery that requires 8.

    I gotta know something...
Is the final pic (the good quality one) the origional size of the pic?

I mean, is it a small pic that is being stretched???
Or is it a big pic that was shrunken and animated
back to origional size, in KoolMoves???

    On another note,
I thought it was going to be pictures of Ferris Wheels...
As a carny, it is disheartening that it is a film company.
But, as a family entertainment producer, and a pro puppeteer,
I was interested in this company...
I think I'll keep in touch as I'm currently in IL, also.
