Shady Client
I think that I have a really shady client. He has been a client for 9 months, and red flags go up each time I talk with him. For some back history, he is the "owner" of an indie rap label with 1 rap act on it. I'm not into rap, but I know the act is extremely talented.
red flag #1: rap act has an official website, that links to his management, and studio that he records his records, but doesn't link to the "label."
red flag #2: whenever the client wants me to get photos for the rap act, he sends me to the official website to get them.
red flag #3: for a record label, the client puts more time and web pages promoting himself and not the act.
red flag #4: client wants me to be selling downloads on the site, instead of the CD. Go to the official website of the act, they have the downloads for free.
red flag #5: the client recently had me change his last name on the site.
So now after these red flags, I've written the artist's official website, to ask if they've even heard of the record label, because what I think is going on is my shady client is trying to scam money off of a legitimate musician.
What does everyone else think?

I think that now you've got me curious to know what the artist has to say about it. Other than that, yeah, sounds a little shifty. I can't think of a legit reason for the name change.
