Positioning Question

I'm trying to make an animation where a text came out of a machine, pass thru the machine and then comes out of it, the problem is that the machine is a Jpeg, I want the text to be visible at first then simulate that it is inside the machine, finally it comes out of it. How do I send the text behind (so it appear to be inside the machine) the jpeg image. I tried sending the text behind in the frame that I want it to be behind, but automatically KoolMoves send the text behind in all frames :S, thank you.

I created a duplicate of a part of the image in PNG (that supports transparencies) and put it over the text... it works perfectly!
