    Outlining a masked movieclip

    Hi everyone

    I got a problem with a movieclip, the problem is this i have a simple block that is masked and that block is also animated by actionscript. My problem is, is that i need to outline that block and make it so that the animation also works with the outline

    Has anyone here have any expirience with this problem?

    I have uploaded a fla file so you can see wat i mean, i hope someone can help me

    I have had very similar problems. Hittest seems to use a masking layer and objects hidden by a mask as part of the movie clip object. I don't know if there is a way around this or not.

    No help, but you are not the only one who has been troubled by this.

    i found a way around it wat i did was put a white movieclip in a layer behind the masked clip that way i could make the illusion of a line, all i had to do then is copy the actionscript for the white block.

    Dont know if this helps you but it helped me, still thanks for the reply though
