i've built a software here, it's a photo gallery with slideshow, music, multiple galleryes and subgalleryes.

- fonts are not embedded (or do you like times new roman without anti aliasing)
- runs smooth, transitions look nice
- the music annoys me (I wouldn´t personally expect that from a photo gallery)

- the font is chaparoll and is embeded with readability checked, but i saw that on some displays look ugly. i'll change sometime with a pixel font
- the music is up to each user if he wants it, or up to you as a visitor, you can stop it and will remain stopped forever.

At first, the interface was a little bit confusing - but with the arrow conventions it became quite clear what did what.

It's quite intuitive after the initial "Whoa, what is this?" but I'd almost venture that the bottom menu is nigh-redundant and could be worked in much like the Photoshop CS3 menu instead - another possible level to be extended or detached if need be. Having the messages a forced click deviates from the other rollover behaviors.

Would love to see a delayed rollover - 900ms or so - for the messages as well.

Quite nice actually. Readability on the vertical text though is lacking on one of the libraries/images - should be able to override the text being on the side... still very nice indeed.

Would love to see a pixel font variation as well. Silkscreen is a freeware font, I think.

Any word on customizations?

Hey, i liked it a lot, Are you loading the images dynamically in flash or what? I dont have any idea about loading images dynamically ? can you please recommend me any tutorial to start with ?

there's a file read.php wich reads the content of a folder received by POST, then sends as a string all files to flash where i split them. don't know any tutorial for that.

ups, not that, they can't be skined. i'll think on that more seriously next time, wich is right now in fact. probably will be a transparent png file for each symbol and each state.

Lot of bugs solved, and some new things were added:

- you can add description to any file like here : http://cristi.imagin.ro/index.php?di...res/Portraits/
- buttons can be skined with external files, png
- scroll when thumbs are out of scene
- a title is displayed when you enter a gallery
- a simple html view option at right click
- fullscreen
- you can run through all galleries in a single slideshow (some bugs exist when you enter a gallery with subgalleries)
- txt files are not displayed anymore, they are used for pictures descriptions
- because of the interest, i'll release this days the sources for learning purpose, or recompiling. keep in mind only that is not entirely in english

some suggestions:
- shortcut commands for next/prev , folder up, play/pause would be great

they are for a long time there, but not documented clearly:
left, right - for pictures navigation
space - for slideshow
up - exiting a gallery
left - exiting subgalleries
double click outside - exiting anything one step
escape - the same
arrows - selecting a gallery or subgallery
enter - entering selected gallery

very good gallery, but can one change the texts of the menu example " Fullscreen " towards " plein ecran "?

And to me fact to delay a file " _preferences.xml " in an album or under album is not price in count.
