    roll text across stage

    HI

I have been trying to roll text across the stage.

I have added text to the stage and then pressed ctrl b to convert to a shape.

i have then copied this frame to the next frame and then in the first frame i started with i moved each letter to a different place outside the stage and then inserted new frames between these first two frames i made, and then step it to motion, but it does not do what i thought it might.

i am wanting the letter to roll in on the stage, i have still to do the rolling part but wanted to just get the letters to move in first, then move on to making them roll.

have i missed something out that makes this work or am i doing this all wrong?

is this how i should do it or is there an easier way?

    thanks in advance

    Jason,

Not sure what ver. of Flash you are using, I use MX, so not sure if this helps

Not clear if you did the "cntrl b" part once or twice, if once then you are still working with text, if twice then you are working with graphic; in either case, as far as I know, you can't tween multiple text or graphics within the same frame.

Each letter/word or graphic would have to be on its own frame and layer for the tween to work properly; shape or motion.
