    Unhappy Incredibly Stupid Cs3 Question!! Please Help!

    I cannot believe this, I must be doing something SO stupid!

    Just started using Flash CS3, and totally confused by new actionscript.

    Nothing is in the right place, and I cannot find any of the basic movie commands, gotoandplay, stop etc.

    For now, I just want to get a flash movie to STOP ant the end of the timeline.

    stop(); doesn't seem to work anymore!

    Please help! I'm going nuts!

    stop(); still does it.

    But if you're having too much trouble with AS3, you can still use AS2 in CS3.

    thanks for the reply!

    not sure why stop(); isn't working for me. I've been doing this the same way for years. Is there a way to chose between actionscript 2 or 3 in preferences or something? I have no real use for all this actionscript 3 stuff just yet...

    when you start Flash, the option is in the start page to create an AS3 FLA or an AS2 FLA. Just pick AS2. At any time you can change these settings using File > Publish Settings..

    Also, pressing Ctrl+shift+f12 willl bring up the publish settings. From there you can change the language between ActionScript 1, 2 or 3 as often as you like
