While that screen is very cool and I love steampunk, the idea of decorating substance goes against all of my design sensibilities.
I saw a trailer for some steampunk movie coming out soon. I can't remember the name atm.

What happened to ideas like put up a bookshelf or tile a wall, or if you're feeling bookish, learn a language.
I tried to come up with something positive here, but can't lie.
If you learn a lanuage, you can at least have the goal of visiting that area, trying out your new-found skill, but seeing as you jump from one spot of social distress to another (where they probably don't speak Italian), that's out of the window.

Figured I wouldn't make a new thread. Anyone do any cool little DIY projects lately?
Thinking of doing this since it's SO cheap. Just need to figure out a way to make it portable with a small(preferably rechargeable) 12v battery. I'll defintely be making a nicer case.

Cost me a wopping 3 bucks tops. The fabric was silicon coated ripstop nylon from the $1 bin at Wally world, the cord stop was .25$ from a fabric store. Also it might surprise you how many you can scavenge around the house, and the cord was a $1.50 I also have a small bungee in there to maintain tension that I took off one I found in the garage. Next time I will use shock cord(bungee cord) around the whole thing (.25$ per foot).
I had a lot of fun with it and a normal pack cover runs $25.00 and up.
