    [complete]Toytown Tower Defense

It's finally finished. This has been a real labour of love, and I hope it shows through. Thanks for all the people who bug tested it for me and helped me get the balance right.

    http://www.utterlysuperb.com/games/tttd.htm

After lots of agonising, I've decided to self publish it. I read the games sponsorship faq posted in another thread and did what he suggested - hawked it round to the games portals to see how much I could get. All the while though I was thinking about self hosting it. The page on self publishing makes it sound viable, so I thought 'what the hell', give it a go. I've also completely redone my site to try to make the most of any push I get from this game. Comments on that gratefully received.

If you have any bug/issues with the game, let me know - one of the great things about self publishing is that because the only version of the game is the one on my site (assuming no one manages to rip it off) I can make changes and revisions, as opposed to the 'once it's out there it's gone' thing when you release a non url restricted sponsorship version.

Nice game, I think it would be good to make the minimap draggable. Also when I clicked on the hero I wasn't sure how to get out of it and back to the towers menu.

Thanks for the kind words. This all implies that none of you have found the bug that gives you infinite money.

I'm pretty new to this genre. I would have preferred more in the way of massive petroleum fuelled explosions. Esp with the pandas. Maybe I need to play it for longer... or maybe I need to stop watching Jerry Bruckheimer movies.

Production values are top-notch. Couldn't break it at all. Nice work!

I played it to level 70-80 or so (check highscores) last night, but it became pretty boring. You should realy add more options to it like the ability to research new towers or learn new skills for the hero. I also didn't realy understand (or didn't like, in case I did understand it) the aura's in the game. The presents-system is ok, although I think they can have too much of an impact to the game. And since they're all random, I don't think that's very fair to the game (ie. someone can get a lot of good ones while others get sucky ones every now and then).

The game was very good though! Don't get me wrong, it seemed a very stable and proffesional game.

What about the infinite money bug? Didn't notice it. Had it something to do with selling towers (since I never did that)?

Excellent game mate, as others have said, it’s definitely the best tower defence game that I have seen, I played it for quite a while . Great art, and well balanced. Nice.

Its pretty good, but not on the level of desktop tower defense yet. You need more tower options, but the graphics are nice.

very good game, polished, couldn't find the bug. Played the game a bunch and kept dying on like 40th level or so, then I figured it out and made it all the way to 111th level! Only things I'm curious about is the whole combining auras? There is no explanation so I just stuck with keeping a bunch of the same kind around. Other small note, might have just been me, but I totally didn't realize power plants could be upgraded for a long long time...

It's quite fun but it seems quite complicated on face value. I was no good at it at all. I just didn't have enough time to build all my towers while the waves were coming. If I ever play it again, I'm sure I'll be better.

Great work so far, I hope you upgrade it to make it even cooler.

Oops, nearly let this slip off the front page without even a well done mate post.

Well done mate. Presentation is great, and although it's a genre I don't really get, I did enjoy playing it.
One thing though, I was kinda ploughing through it with no regard for the instructions, and I still managed to last for ages, with only 3 baddies getting into my lovely castle ( I imagine they made a right mess, damn it ).
Either I'm a natural at tower defence games, or it's quite a long player. One for the Kong kids more than me and my itchy trigger finger / lack of concentration unless it's a shoot'em up.

Oh, sorry the lead I sent you didn't work out. I guess my job as your agent isn't going too well.

    Squize.
