    Monster Bubbles

    Hi

This is my new game, I made this game for the contest "ball physics", but I couldt finish on time so I took more time to add some things and now after I couldt find a sponsor I decided to publish it

I add more things like my "paracaidas" game, so I made it multi language and add some features like full screen mode like youtube videos

    I hope you like it

    PLAY

Hey, nice game. I really like the concept (very original), and the graphics are fantastic.

    I found a few bugs/mistakes:
    - The text is selectable
    - After losing a 'normal' game, I tried to play the 'Basketball' mode but I kept getting sent to the gameover screen from the previous game (scores were the same, etc.)

Other than that, the only good advice I can think of atm is to make the game more interesting/harder sooner (eg. the game became more fun when it was harder on later levels (though this happened too late), and the idea of multiple balls should be included in the main game (if it already is. make them appear sooner in the game)). Some power-ups would also be a nice addition, imo. If you're worried that this may make the game too hard, then I would include the option of two game difficulty settings (the only difference between them may be gravity, or speed/occurence of enemies, or even size of portals).

Too bad it didn;t get finished in time for the competition, because it's easily your best game imho.

    Viza.

Thanks for your comments VIZA, thats what I needed, Im lack of game tasters

Ill check and fix the bugs you found

About harder sooner, I thought the same, thats why I made levels selectable from the begining because I found people that wanted just to collect stars with a slow bubble and some that wanted to play with 3 balls at a time, so I made that "level selection" section and a "survival" mode

    Thanks again for your feedback

Brilliant presentation and the idea for the game is very original! There definitely needs to be a variety of music. The default bgm is good but kinda gets boring after the 5th level or so.

Did you code it i AS2? How long did it take? What was the hardest task in its development? I know I sound like a reporter but Im interested in that kinda stuff.

Shavlor - Thanks for your comments, yeap, I made it very easy in the begining, thats why I add the level selection screen, I think Im going to add levels - Thanks for your comments

Cortana - You are right about the music, I had 2 track and I just forgot to add the second one

    - Yeap, I made it in AS2
    - The engine of the game took me like 2 days, very simple
    - Hardest thing is the concept, I always made engines of the games, after that I have to think of an idea and graphics to dress the game

As you can see in my page I have some engines, and a notebook full of ideas, the difficult part is to make them come live, think on graphics and the sections inside the game, the features, or options, too many thing to think when I just want to blow bubbles, lol

By the way, this is the first time I made a game just for me, no clients involved, thats what im doing now, games that I like, Im making a games site, Im not trying to compete with so many portals out there, is just to put my favorite and finished ones

Very nice! And easy enough for my 5 year old god daughter! She's been playing it instead of having breakfast for the past 1/2 hour!

(ps, and she's not bugging me!)
