[CS3] screen 'dim' when inside clips?

I tried searching for this, but due to the nature of the words, I kept getting the results I expected - nothing near what I meant.

In Flash CS3, when you have a movie clip on the stage, & you go inside it, the rest of the things on the stage "grey out", "mute", "dim", etc...

Can we turn that off?!?! Usually it's a nice feature, but at times it's annoying.

    Thanks

I dont think so... if you DONT want this.. I think you need to access the object/symbol directly from the library...

(but I still use F8 so what do I know? )

From the library is a good feature sometimes, too - though it completely removes everything.

Actually, here's what inspired me to post :
Sometimes I'm working inside a Movie Clip, but I want to sample a color from something outside the clip
    That's the main reason.

    Thanks

yeah I have had the same exact problem..

I am now in the habit of color selecting before I go into the movieClip..

I got into that habit, too, but sometimes I need a few colors (I know, I'm greedy), so what I've been doing is selecting an element that has the colors I need & copying/pasting it into my new MC & selecting colors, then deleting it - which is fine, but it would be nice if that were an "option".

    Oh, well.
