mpeg trouble

I have been struggling with this program since I got it. Heres the project I am trying to do. Take a mpeg, reduce its size to 350X400 display the movie so it fade in text at the end and will only run once. I have tried different video editing software to help, but I cant get the right one I dont know enough about Koolmoves to complete this one. Could someone walk me through the steps.Also, could someone recommend some video editing software?

Also I have tried to overlay text over a swf object and afterwards the flash will not function. Is there something I can do about this?I have imported the swf as a movie and as a swf object and neither will work.

I think Koolmoves rocks after seeing the projects, but I just need a little help.

You can't use an Mpeg directly in koolmoves. You need to convert it to FLV first. There are tools for this and even a few free one look for RIVA FLV encoder it's free. Then when you have your flash video file (FLV) you can import that into Koolmoves. You can easily overlay text on FLV files.
