Urgent: Stand alone flash player
Is there a free stand alone flash player available that plays swf independently of internet?
I have made a language course of swfs available for download, but people have said the swf won't open on their computer. I assume that I can play them because I have the flash designer software.
Any help gratefully received.
Thanks

this makes no sense and yet i've heard this many times.. somehow their flash plugin is only being used from within a browser. they can open the file by right-clicking the choosing 'open with' and picking their browser.
you could also save your swf files as projector exe files instead which included the plugin so will work for sure

OK thanks, I'll include in hte instructions that they should open with ...

Just export as a .exe file, and the file will play on the user's computer no matter what, and will open when they double click on it, no right clicking. However, this will only work on windows. So you should supply the .swf for Mac users .

I don't think .hqx will open on Intel Macs anymore, it just tries to unzip it or something. Those files are very scarce now.
