what is the best method for playing a .mpg?

I have a .mpg file that is currently 119.2 MB and want to have it play on a website. I've tried embeding the file in Flash and it cuts down the file size considerably, but it still takes to long to download. Does anyone know of a different methodology? Thanks!

Oh yeah I'm using CS3 on a MAC

Use flash video encoder or third-party software (like Flix) and convert it to an flv...

I was able to embed the flv into flash however the swf file size stayed the same. I also tried to upload the flv to our server and then reference that in flash as it walks through the options when you import video. This worked really great, however it only played on one browser on the MAC. It played instantly though! Do you know if there is any code I need to put into either the swf or html files that will make it play in all browsers and platforms? Thanks!!!

I generally just use the flash publish html settings...as long as your browser has the flash player, it should work...

As I know, SPAM can add videos in any format to website with no coding knowledge, and the added videos can be played in all browsers. I personally use this program to add videos to my website.

Also, I'm a spammer and now my account has been banned from Flash Kit.
