    Flash vs Director vs KoolMoves

    Good Day,

    I'm a Director | Lingo programmer from 10 years ago - what a MISTAKE Director was.

    Anyway - I never picked up Flash because compared to Director - it was a toy.

    I'm seeing KM as being very score based.

    My first question ... and I will have a few...

    Is very frame a keyframe or a tween? In Director, I could stretch a frame out, but I'm not seeing this here

    Is there an explanation about the basic thought comparing the scores of Flash to KW?

    Is there a cast?

    Ok I'll try....
    The timeline in KM is as you suspect each frame is a keyframe. You set the number of tweens of each keyframe or set default keyframe to a desired cadence.

    There isn't a "cast" per se but there is what is called a symbol library that does function similar to the cast in director. It's not necessary as in director as you can create "objects"(cast members) directly by creating them on the stage.

    Now let me further say I very rarely use timelines, it what I always hated about director and flash. This mostly stems from my coming from more of a programmer point of view than a animator.

    To really get the most out of the current versions of Flash or Koolmoves you really are well off to forget frames and come to understand OOP programming which is Obejct and event based. It will be dificult at first but worth it.
