    Gui

    Hi,

first of all - congratulations! Koolmoves is a great application that helped me to get my job done right and fast. Many times. The reason I purchased koolmoves is that I needed an application for fast creation of flash banners (Koolmoves GUI helped me to make banners faster than Flash).

Version 7 contains plenty of improvements, however, there are several things that I'd like to see in some future version of Koolmoves. My requests will not be AS or OOP oriented, I'd like to suggest you some additional GUI improvements:

    - Standard color picker. Grey colors are missing and I have to define grey colors manually (#CCCCCC, #999999, #333333 etc.)

    - Possibility to run "child" movie clips (when I edit a movie clip, I'd like to have the possibility to preview it.)

    - Right click selection on object: Convert to button option is available, but Convert to movie clip option is missing.

    - Easier definition of effect properties. (Or at least the possibility to turn-off automatic preview). Example: When I try to change settings for Block Mask effect and change the number of Rows, I have to wait until the preview finishes. Clicking the Columns row earlier is useless. When I use the same effect for more objects, it slowes me down.

    - Dockable panes (Opening and closing the properties dialog belongs among activities I do more frequently than I should)

I'd like to also ask for the following:

    - More modern image effects available accessible via GUI. Reflection, masked transitions:
    http://flashden.net/item/xml-mask-transition-pack/17135

    - Random slide show (add images via GUI and let Koolmoves to generate a movie that will display random image. I know this can be done in AS, but having such option directly in Koolmoves would be great).

I know you did a great job by adding support for AS to Koolmoves 7, but please, don't forget all the lazy designers who don't have time to study newer versions of programming languages (AS1, AS2, AS3)... Easy of use, different "easier" GUI for making simple things fast (compared to Flash) - those might be reasons why other users will pay for Koolmoves.

    Regards,

    Vaclav

    Your suggestions are good.

    - Dockable panes (Opening and closing the properties dialog belongs among activities I do more frequently than I should)
-> This is diffcult to implement. You might try selecting the little Up/Down button on the properties dialog to collape the dialog when not in use.

    - More modern image effects available accessible via GUI. Reflection, masked transitions:

-> I am adding flash 10 filters, one of which is reflection.
