Help with collision detection please!

Hi, I am relatively new to the 'Flash' scene, and need a bit of help with my coding.
I am currently programming a small game and need help with collision detection. Could anybody help me, and supply me with some code for setting an action when certain objects were to come into contact with each other? Any help greatly appreciate! =-) Thanks!

Hi I'm newbee (fash-numbty really) and virtully all of the people who have responded to my queries here have given me lots of help.

I'm afraid I can't offer any help with this question but I doubt whether the experts who look at these post could either - it's a very big and rather general question.

Break it down a bit and ask for advice on something more specific and you should get someone much cleverer than me sending you some ideas.
