going a bit crazy here :S

I have an empty fla with simply a png in it .. no code.. when I publish it locally i see the image in both the test environment and in the local browser... when i upload it to an online server the flash movie appears completely blank ... even when i browse directly to the swf e.g www.abc.com/some.swf

pulling my hair out here... any ideas whats happening?..thanks in advance
