Complete: Away3D Full game - Shooting Range

    Hi,

Been a looong while since I posted anything here. I've been learning Away3D over the past few weeks and decided to apply it to a game.

I know there's little here that could not be done in 2D somehow, but this is a beginning. And I'm really pleased with how the 3D backdrop shows through the bullet holes in the title screen.

Away3D only works in AS3's *strict* mode... so more learning there too. Even the non-strict mode is a whole lot more so than AS2.

    Any and all feedback welcome.

    Michael.

Wow glad to see you put one of these 3D engines to good use. Pretty fun game, ran very smooth on my laptop. (duel core, 4 gb of ram, win 7) This game would be fantastic if it could be played on the Wii. I'm 90% certain the flash player on the Wii is too old, though.

It doesn't look like it would be too hard to add some pre-defined movement and 'real' enemies to turn this into a rail shooter.

Just as a side note, if you put a gun at the bottom of the screen like an fps the game would probably end up being more popular.
