Split image and animate it's parts

Hi, I'm making banner based on this one:

The problem is, that i don't know how to slice image, so I could animate it's parts instead of only animating mask for this image.
This is what I've done so far:

It depends on what exactly you are wanting out of this..

if it doesn't need to be dynamic at all, and you are just making it for your website, i would say open it in photo shop and just cut out equal spaced rectangles of the image and animate them all together.. this would be much easier than trying to do it all with action script..
