Swf to screensaver - save user settings
Hi,
I have this project where I have to create a screensaver from a swf.
Many options on the Internet but it should be posible to save and read user input to a local file and verify the settings on a remote server.
I looked around and so far found the following three options:
1. http://www.instantstorm.com/ : free, but ran into problems and wasn't able to solve this.
2. http://www.screentime.com/ : looks great, was able to create the swf's but then ran into deployment issues in the screentime software. Contacted them, not very encouraging support for $200+ software... Still stuck...
3. http://www.multidmedia.com : Zinc, a bit too expensive...
Anyone knows of some alternatives to these that allow me to create screensavers from a swf and add read/write functionality to the swf?
Many thanks,
Raoul

Do you still have the source fla to the swf? I would export the flash as a video. I believe supported by Flash CS4+. (export as quicktime, and set duration. This will work with timeline and actionscripted animation) I'm sure you should have more successful finding converters for video to screensaver than swf.
