loading movie breaking my projector movie

I am creating a large presentation that will be a stand alone projector. At some points in this very large movie I want to load some added .swf's into different levels. I am using the load movie action into a frame and putting the movie on a different level than the main movie. The problem is that when I do "test movie" it looks fine, but when I run the full screen projector when it gets to the frame where it is supposed to load the .swf there is a flash of white and you can even see my desktop. It only takes place for about a millisecond and then it contiues on like normal. It looks awful. I am using Flash 5 on a Mac G4, O.S.9. Please I will take any advice!
