I don't think they used Flash effects in the Matrix. I've got the DVD, I've watched the making of it several times, I don't ever remember seeing anything about Flash.

Someone told me about it that some of the effects in this mvie were created in Flash. I was just amazed. If not than is it possible to do such job?

    I believe there's been a mis-interpretation.

Most likely they meant that certain visual effects as seen in "THE MATRIX" have been re-created or simulated using FLASH, so that you can watch it easily on your computer.

The green-letters and kanji on computer screens are what they are probably talking about, since details about this animation are requested by people almost every day!

The majority of the effects shots in The MATRIX were done by Manex VFX (VFX director John Gaeta) and an Australian firm DFilm, using Houdini.

No flash was used in the movie, although as previously mentioned, some of the FX (the scrolling script) have been duplicated using flash.

I think for now, you want to confine your flash efforts to the little screen. There is some use of scalable, vector FX in film and broadcast video, but this is usually done with something like Discreet's Combustion.

    good luck!

If your serious, it's a movie, very cool and about computers and crazy stuff. It came out in the U.S.A. but I don't know where else.

Naw guys, he's just referring to the movie. Don't you remember its great tagline "What is the matrix"? That's the name of the website, too, http://www.whatisthematrix.com

"Unfortunately, no one can be...told...what the matrix is... You have to experience it for yourself."

You gotta love those classic lines from cool movies.
