Final Fantasy IX !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OMG, I just beat the best game of all time (in my opinion), FINAL FANTASY IX! The ending was astonishing...well, the WHOLE game was awesome!!! I recomend it to everyone. It only took me 67 hours to complete (no cheats, no strategy guide). I love that game so much, the best in the series yet. Speaking of FF, the Final Fantasy movie is coming out July 11th. It looks awesome...all CG, the best CG I have seen in a movie. Check out the trailor at http://www.finalfantasy.com . Final Fantasy X for Playstation 2 is looking awesome as well. Yeah, I loved VII and VIII. I haven't played IX yet. Actually, I haven't played Playstation in a while. Now that Gran Turismo 3 and Metal Gear Solid 2 are coming out on PS2 though, I think I'm gonna have to pick one up.

i tried to wait for the ps2 to go fall in prices....
but it has fallen much... just 150 bucks, here in australia

all final fantasy games are great - yet number 10 should standout, since its all 3d, and it utilizes the ps2....
i wonder if its gonna go PC???

as for the movie - its great to see more 3d action
i wonder if they use MAYA 3d to make the cg

also - the main character in the movie looks much more of a man than woman!! (well thats my opinion)

I hate to be conterviersal but...., are you sure it was FF9 you played? The game play was great, battle system and magic system were well put together. It had things do to and the items were as good as any FF. Things looked and it sounded pretty good but.... FF9 had the worst story of them all! I have played them all so I am not be bias. I mean come on that story was bad. The plot twists where weak and seemed slaped on. The main vilan was not much of a villan when stacked agenst others of the FF's he just kinda seemed to be there.

You said the ending was "astonishing"? The ending movie did look cool no doubt about that but...it was so sappy. (It was almost as bad as FF7's ending but thats another post)
The end boss of the game was pointless. It was weak and for the most part it was just another monster to me.

All I am saying it the story was weak but for the most part it was a great game. (but come on we know rpgs are only as good as there story.)

I got my PS2 at the wkend there - Tekken Tag and Zone of Enders! Excellent stuff! Also, MGS2 demo - looking pretty amazing!

Everyone, buy one if u can! I played FF7 on the playstaion and it was pants! Sorry, guess im not into RPG's I like my action!

I'd have to agree with assaultan about the weak story. Everyday that I play (on disc three) my boyfriend asks, "so what's the story about?" Part of the reason I play rpg's is for the story and this story is indiscernible. The game play is great, the mini movies are great, but they obviously were just off when it came to the storyline.

I buy "Summoner" tomorrow - best story (gamespot) - hope this game really has a that great storyline.

The last CD of FF9 really gives a lot to the story, the rest is mainly a teenage love and adventure story.

Yes thats true it was trying to be some kind of love story at the end but FF8 was a great love story.

Speaking of FF8 why is it so many people don't know that Squall dies at the end. He dies ppl! DEAD!

this is a little off topic but did u guys ever hear of suddam hussein trying 2 buy ps2's? the government has said they have the most advanced imaging or something systems and can be used in attack and bombing aircraft along with guided missles. i think thats pretty funny. he tried 2 buy 2000 or something but of course they were sold out so he bought that many ps1's.
