Here's what i have... I have a photo of a jet that needs to fly fast towards the screen. Do i..bring the image from photoshop as a jpg and then trace bitmap?

When using images (photo's) should always trace bitmap? Should they be bitmaps instead of bring them in a jpg's? My photos are slowing the speed of my movie. My jet is real jerky. Thanks for the help!!!

If you are going to be tracing the image, it doesn't matter which format you import it in as, for you will just delete it after it is traced.

However, if you are using the actual photo, it's best to run it through Fireworks or use the Save for Web feature in Photoshop 6.

By optimizing the image, you may get a smaller file size than by tracing, depending on how many curves and corners you have.
Sometimes the traced bitmap is larger than the actual bitmap, so be careful with this. Flash has several optimization techniques for when you are tracing.

    I hope this helps.
