FK M.D.
hello,
my first post in this forum! feels like a whole new place. i was wondering if any of you php/flash experts out there could take a look at my source file and see why it's not working correctly.
i have a "nav.swf" that loads in 4 content .swf's. When I had the standalone "guestBook.swf", it worked fine. Then I built the nav page into which I have it loading, and updated the loadMovie() commands on the guestBook file to have it load into the right place (_root.movies.guestBook as opposed to level 0 in the original stand alone file).
It seems to be completely functional, with the exception to the fact that it only displays on entry (the last). to see what i mean, please click on my footer and, once at the site (apologies to all about the banner....i will be getting paid hosting soon), click on the light blue button at the bottom for the guestBook.
I have zipped up the sources of "nav" and "guestBook", as well as included php and txt files for your perusal. i'd very much appreciate it if anyone could figure this thing out. it has been driving me crazy for the past week. i am rather new to php, so my thought is it is in the end of the code (where it splits the data from the txt file and send appropriate data to the flash movie). that's just my hunch.
i've got 2 zips for you to look at if you could. HEAVY and LIGHT. depending on your connections. HEAVY includes the fla's and php and LIGHT has swf and php etc. Heavy is 227 K. this is really buggin me so your help is much appreciated!
