I'm trying to brainstorm ways to make online access to our password protected site easy for us to manage as webmasters.

We are expecting a lot of new subscribers within the next month and would like to come up with an easy solution. I guess it would be ideal to have a script that takes a given username and password and puts in the .htaccess and .htpasswd files. Or maybe there's a better idea? It's an apache server and will (but doesn't yet) have php. hmmmmm.....any ideas? Thanks.
