about flash and director:

thats like compairing a mini cooper with a fully kitted out Audi R6
^ that was a comparison oriented about scripts

now, my question is:

in term of fluidity (framerate) what about director? i used it one year ago, doing a game essentially with .swf files (that was maybe not a good solution, but that's what i did), but it was a little bit slower than a normal .swf game, in my opinion...

...what if i used gifs?
an example: as you probably know, i'm currently doing a fighting game (http://www.marmotte.levillage.org/ga...r_fighter.html). that game is done with a lot of gifs (i mean, there's no tweens, no gradients...). but the scrolling seems to slow down the game, depending the power of your computer.
now, i want to know, if i did that game with director, will it slow down less, or much? maybe someone that knows the two programs has an idea?

thanks
