[F8]dynamic menu...
I am curious just what would be the best approach to creating a two part menu, on the left side would be three or four options and lets say the first one leads straight to an action; however, the second and third option would open up another menu to the right of it, that would list more options and gray out the left side menu until an option was chosen or the cancel button was hit.
The reason I need a little guidance with this is because I do not plan for this menu to be static. Basically the secondary options will be selected from a master list, and depending on the user's current situation certain options will become available so the list needs to be dynamic. I was hoping for the menu itself to be a fixed size and the user to be able to scroll through the secondary options. The menu on the left would be static.
Can anyone give me any tips of how to go about doing this, and/or where I can find some good examples/tutorials? If I have not explained this clear enough just let me know and I will be glad to elaborate.
Thanks in advance,
ChaseNYC
