My daughter has a Flash project due for a photography class, and I was happy to help her. She did all the work and I helped with some code and syntax errors, but otherwise she did a wonderful job.

The main objective here is to show off a select few of her photographs in an online gallery. She made a wonderful animation stage to house the home page, about me page and resume page. Her thumbnails are great and have a blur effect (she is so talented).

Here is the problem:

Her movie is around 500 X 500px and she has done a lot of work on it. She made a separate movie that holds the large photos with a next, previous and close buttons. When you click a thumbnail in the main movie it opens the photo gallery in a very large movie (I think it is around 1000 by 900px - teachers specs for the photos). What her (and I) can't figure out is if there is a way to open the gallery (fed by XML) to start on which ever thumbnail is clicked.

Right now it doesn't matter which thumbnail you click on, the gallery movie opens to the first photo in the XML list.

I don't know much about XML and she knows less (we got the XML codes from online) If there isn't a way to do it with the XML, how can we code the thumbs to open the gallery movie to a specific frame (as we can forget the XML and just use frame by frame animations to show all the photos).

you can see the movie here just click on the "gallery" button and then any thumb nail to see the items in question.

Thanks in advance
