Script to make text appear on button click

Hi folks,

I gather this is quite simple for anyone with a bit of coding know-how but having spend a whole day reading up I'm still going in circles! Guess I should stick to animation

I've made a simplified version of my project and attached it here. What I'm looking to do is have different text appear in the text box for each of the three buttons when pressed (and for each button to trigger a sound file which I havent included to keep the file size down, but lets say 'sound1, sound2 & sound3'.

And that's it. I know I need to name all the variables & call on them but going through dozens of forums & YouTube vids has just left me more confused!
