i just created a 15k swf that plays really nicely when viewed in the regular size (the size that the movie is set at is 600 x 300), but when i set it to maximize itself (100% x 100%) inside an html window, the animation gets pretty choppy, and almost slows to a stop (even causing other flash ani's on the page to slow down).

true, there are are several alpha fades, but i've used similar effects before without such a problem.

that above link is a little larger than the regular movie (as it extends to fill the window horizontally), but doesnt sacrifice much smoothness.

this is the one that ill actually be using (where the settings expand the movie 100% x 100%)
