    Hi all.
    Some suggestions for KoolMoves:

    1)Scenes creation
    2)Use of variables
    3)Collision detect between objects
4)Velocity and acceleration in object properties

    Thanks.

    1)Scenes creation

-> I have concerns about how this will make the gui much more complicated. If I can come up with an unobstrusive design then I am willing to implement this.

    2)Use of variables

    -> Coming with action scripts

    3)Collision detect between objects

-> No comment at this time. Is this part of Flash 5?

4)Velocity and acceleration in object properties

-> Is this the same as easing in and easing out?

Bob, sugestions 2-4 are all related to actionscripting. Collision detect and acelaration are pr-built actionscripts inside of Insane Flash Animator 2.X. The Scripts to do this are common and can often be found in script Libraries.

As for suggestion 1. We already have this sort of. To create a new "Scene" all you have to do is hit insert Blankframe and then Label it. The SWF format does not really keep track of scenes but rather tracks Frames and labels. If enough people request the new "Scene" Feature all you would have to do is just Create a New Blank Frame and label it Scene 1 (Or 2 or so on).

Thanks, Johnie. Maybe the version after the next one I will be able to have some action script capability.

Swish 1.5 has a really nice SCENE ability... KoolMoves is better for drawing and animation (bones)

If there was only a way to merge the two....

I will look at it. Do I have to create a scene and enter something into a popup before I can create a simple animation? In order words, is an extra step involved in creating an animation if I choose not to use scenes?

Are not scenes the same thing as frames...perhaps I am missing something here...are you refering to something timeline related?

Scenes are frames with a new Label. They are a convention of Flash and other programs who imitate that flash convention. The File format itself is more or less laid out like it is in KoolMoves.

Like I said it would be easy to implement. We already have the Blank Frame and Frame Label functionality. All that would have to be done is add that to a new Scene button.

To be honest I prefer the KoolMoves Method myself but people migrating from other Flash tools or who have read books on Flash would probably be confused.

I do like the scene ability, it allows easier action script reference and overal visual organization.

I love KoolMoves... I also really like Swish.

You guy may want to download the demo of Swish and see how they do Scenes... if Koolmoves had that system, with it's great drawing tools and bones... it would be a killer app!

Swish v2.0 is supposed to have Sprite ability... that woudl be a nice addition to koolmoves.

Swish also have some nice clean effects...

Dont take this as a sales pitch for Swish.. but as a reference to an app with some great feastures, that if Koolmoves implemented would take over the flash industry!!!!! <grin>

I agree, Swish (version 1, anyway) is nice and clean.

Also agree that KoolMoves has the potential to become a force in the industry.

Another suggestion, low key and perhaps improving user-friendliness: Have a dozen or so user defined or custom colours and gradients stored underneath the colour-wheel (globe?) thingie.
