    hey guys-
while surfing the Flash Kit site, I have found a bunch of flash movies that I like. The problem is that you can download the .fla and .swf. I understand how to load .swf's into koolmoves, but is there a way to position it where i want it on the page? Or, is there a way to edit stuff in the .fla (or swf) WITHOUT downloading macromedia's demo?

    Thanks for the help!
    Kevin

I think by using the "insert Movie" function to load an .swf it will be loaded into the same spot on the page as the movie that you connected it to.

The .fla is Macromedia's native file format. Just as the .fun is for KM. Only Macromedia software will edit an .fla. just as only KM will edit and .fun.

Once swf importing is added to KM you should be able to import the .swf files and edit them, but not the .fla ones.

Its going to be awhile, if ever.

    Why?
    1. Import SWF does not work properly even in Flash. Sounds. actions. and clips all get lost.
    2. It makes copyright infringement easier- Frank has already pointed this out.

This new functionality I am working on for Mark might address this need. It will import a swf as an object which you can position and scale. I haven't gotten to the critical part yet but it seems like it will work. This is another of Johnie's discoveries.
